The month before, on the 10th
anniversary of my father’s death, was
my best attempt at a meaningful message.
So this month is my praise for
you, a look ahead and some valuable announcements.
Congratulations on being here.
Whatever your path in life that has brought you to this place, I commend you. We
each have our stories; our challenges; our victories. We each have a unique set
of attributes and potential for growth…The question for each of us is, “What
will we do with what we have?”
We all serve people in getting
insurance and financial products in the hands of those who need them. We agree
on how good this business can be. In fact, I contend that, with proper
communication, we’d all agree on many, many things. I agree with you that a BGA
organization should earn their override. No more good ol boy networks where the
upline does nothing but cash checks. You would probably agree with me that
agents can and should produce more. And we sure agree that the carriers and
paramed companies could do better.
With common ground between us,
what will we do with what we have? Well, our mission at Only Financial Group
is to serve you in profitable ways. Plain and simple, we know that if you do
well, we’ll be fine. And so we will serve you, that is what we’ll do. We are
fast at work implementing new technologies, selectively bringing on carriers and
increasing our level of support. How about a look at some things we have
developing for or future together?
- We’ve launched OFG National
as the first step in our vision to have a national presence online and on the
street. “Click and Mortar” we call it and, imagine if you will, the power
we’ll have with all the clients we have and the database we own. We’ll
cross-market, re-market and just plain market to people everywhere. What
could start out as simple as a term conversion will lead us to OFG National
teammates in the homes and at the conference tables of families and businesses
all over the country. Remember that OFG is a grown up brokerage now and we
have all the best Life, Annuity, DI and Long Term Care contracts in the
business. Give us a chance at all of your business.
- In our core direct response
business we’re doing nothing less than revolutionizing the industry. We’ve
found a way to deliver the best leads to top organizations at prices that will
change any spreadsheet you’ve ever made. We’re developing ways to have your
phone ring with interested prospects on the other line and to complete those
sales without paper applications.
- We’re working with a Fortune
500 company to implement a full back office system that is efficient and
effective. Producers will just call the prospect, build the relationship,
make the sale, gather a little information and push a button. The next you
will see of the case is a commission check with, of course, full status
available all along the way. As I have said before…sooner or later we will do
all the prospecting, identify the clients, make the sales, submit the
paperwork, manage the case through underwriting, deliver it and just transfer
money into the producer’s checking account. Until then, you just have to call
the prospects.
- In our efforts with LIDMA,
the industry association, we are working with carriers and paramed companies
to enhance the entire life insurance fulfillment process, to design new
products for our niche and develop a strategy for direct response
representation on important NAIC, state regulatory and legislative
proceedings.
I’m stopping here for the sake
of brevity. There are at least 3 or 4 additional items we have in the works to
serve you better and earn our modest override. We don’t want anything for free,
we just want all of your business…and we want to earn it. Please put us to the
test.
So what will you do? Will you
push a little more? Will you decide to take your business to the next level?
Will you work smarter, plug in and get fired up? You can do this, and you can
depend on us for help and support along the way. Take this challenge and move
it up a notch, kick it in gear this Summer and let’s have a good time doing it
together.
